YANNICK DE SERRE - LE MYSTÈRE DE NOS CIEUX

This project brings together artist's books proposals (and related products) around the theme of the only common place that my partner and I shared during a residency executed in Finland in March 2018. While my partner stayed in Montreal, and I traveled to Finland, the only common place we had was the starry sky. During this winter month, I set out to document my Nordic nights, deeply rooted in my feelings, with both feet on the ground...

It is true to say that this project addresses the notions of common and individual spaces. Sometimes, love is easy; sometimes, love brings its share of trials. We all experience these cycles where sorrows follow joys, interspersed with periods of healing.
